Louis Van Gaal is ecstatic that his side is back in the Premiership with some fine performances recently.
The Red Devils are now a real contender for Champions League qualification as they have managed to close in the gap of points between them and the teams at the top spots in the table.
The results of some of the other matches have gone in their favour yes and that has helped them a great deal in improving their position, but, they themselves have played pretty well too.
They have got as many points as the 4th positioned Manchester City now and just 4 points less than Arsenal which is no. 3.
According to Van Gaal, there is not much difference in the quality of the sides in the domestic league in England and on a given day, any side can be beaten by any other side in this competition and that’s what keeps it so tight all the time.
Speaking post the Watford game which United sealed by one goal to none, the head coach said, “It’s great that we are in a much better position compared to where we were the past week.”
“You see this is the reason why Premier League is so wonderful. The teams at the bottom can also beat the teams at the top. Everyone is good enough.”
“Sunderland beat us and we had to take the criticism, but, there have been quite a few other unexpected results as well in the competition and it can happen at times because no team in this league lacks quality and can win on a particular day.”
United next faces West Bromwich Albion’s challenge in the Premier League as the two teams face off on 6th of March at the Hawthorns.
