Manchester United should forget about dropping any more points in the Premier league title race is they are looking to win the title according to former Manchester City striker Darren Huckerby.
Manchester United will be facing Norwich city during this weekend.
Even though this may sound like the battle between David and Goliath, one might have to remember that it was Norwich city who managed to bring an end to the title hopes for Manchester United back in the 2005-2006 season. Manchester United will be hoping that they can keep up with Manchester City in the title race.
Dean Ashton and Leon McKenzie scored for Norwich city back in 2005 to take the Canaries a 2-0 win over Manchester United. This time around, Norwich city are the promoted team in the Premier league and they will be facing an uphill task towards getting a result against Manchester United during the weekend. However, Darren Huckerby is of the opinion that Norwich city can once again shock Manchester United given the way they have been performing in the Premier league this season.
Despite being promoted only last season, Norwich city are currently in the eighth position in the table just a few places behind the European qualification.
“Norwich have got a chance of beating Manchester United, no doubt about it, but it all depends what team Man U play. Gone are the days when Sir Alex Ferguson can put out a weakened team because they have to win every game now just to keep up with Manchester City who don’t look as though they will drop too many points over the course of the season,” Huckerby told in a recent interview. Despite playing route one football, Norwich city have been able to get the desired results in the quest for their safety in the Premier league.
